The “Nishishiogo Mawari Butai” Preservation Association + The Performance Operating Committee
We, the “Nishishiogo Mawari Butai” Preservation Association, operate with the goal of protecting the valuable culture and traditions passed down in our region and ensuring their succession by the next generation. Our members consist of all households in the Nishishiogo region, and we are working to preserve this cultural resource, a source of local pride, for the future.
The Performance Operating Committee is the executive unit organized for each performance, composed of dedicated volunteers who have been involved for many years. It was first established for the 8th Regular Performance due to the aging membership of the Preservation Association. In coordination with the Preservation Association, it manages the planning and operation of regional events and performances. We collaborate with local residents and related organizations to handle event preparations, day-of operations, and public relations activities, widely promoting the appeal of our regional culture. The Performance Operating Committee is composed of volunteers from inside and outside the city, including faculty and students from Ibaraki University, who work to ensure the smooth execution of events and promote interaction among participants.
Furthermore, our activities are made possible through the support and cooperation of Ibaraki Prefecture, Hitachiomiya City, and various other organizations. Through collaboration with government and local groups, we aim for the development of an even richer regional culture.
